Forum abuse - please be vigilant!

Unfortunately we had a case yesterday where some inappropriate content was posted on the forum. On the plus side, someone spotted it very quickly and let me know, so I could remove it within only a couple of hours (many thanks!). Attracting this wrong sort of attention always a hazard on the internet these days, sadly.

So, could I just ask everyone to keep their eyes open for anything like this please? If you spot anything dodgy, please send me a PM (using the button to the right over here -----> )... in most cases I will be able to remove bad content same day.

I have now set up a message group called "moderators", which can be used to report any inappropriate posts.

To use this, click on the PM link at the top of the page (where it says "0 new messages" for example), and create a new PM. You will see, on the top right of the message area, that you can select the group "moderators" to send the message to - see screenshot below (click on it to see bigger version):

oh yes, one other thing to mention: you can tell who are the moderators because their names appear highlighted in the postings. The colour coding is explained at the bottom of the page, but basically any names in Red Green or Blue are admins or moderators.
